ASM's Commitment to OH&S
S R Systrum Pty Ltd T/as Altank Sheetmetal (also known
as ASM) is committed to ensuring the health, safety and
welfare of its employees and any other people who may be
affected by ASM's operations. In securing workplace health
and safety, this organization promises to pursue best practice
in OHS and to fulfill its statutory duties of care with
regards to OHS at all times.
An effective OHS program is introduced and maintained
to ensure that all workplace hazards are identified, the
associated risks assessed and appropriate measures introduced
to control these risks once established, the OHS program
is monitored and reviewed to take account of changing conditions
and circumstances at the workplace.
ASM's Managers and supervisors are responsible and accountable
for the safety of all employees, contractors and company
property under their control.
Managers and or supervisors who have the necessary authority
will be held accountable for taking prompt action, so that
unsafe, unhealthy conditions and unsatisfactory behavior
is eliminated.
All employees are required to;
• Co-operate and comply with management OH&S policy
and program.
• To report any unsafe conditions in the work place
and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Report all injuries and safety incidents.
• To assist anyone who is injured at work.
• Take reasonable care for the health and safety of
others in the work place who may be affected by their actions.
All employees and contractors are appropriately trained,
supervised and provided with adequate information to undertake
their duties safely and without risk to health. All relevant
documentation relating to OHS issues is made available to
employees and their representatives.
To ensure ASM achieve their goals to provide a safe work
environment Safety committee meetings will be held regularly.
Prior notice will be given of the agenda and committee resolutions
will be publicized in the workplace.
